Bill Murphy began his law practice, Murphy & Murphy Attorneys, in Oklahoma City in 1970, in the historic neighborhood of “The Flats” near downtown. He built his reputation and practice on his fight for the rights of others. Bill was an innovative and creative lawyer. He made a difference in the lives of those he represented. Many knew him as a hero lawyer.
Bill’s daughter, Laura Beth Murphy, joined the firm in 1989, and Laura’s daughter, McKenna Murphy (Bill’s granddaughter), joined the firm as a law
student and working with us as a legal assistant. We are truly a family owned and operated practice, three generations of lawyers.

Laura Beth Murphy, Attorney and Native Oklahoman, has a well established reputation of ethics, reliability and success in representing Oklahomans, from injured and disabled Oklahomans to Oklahoma’s finest corporations. Ms. Murphy has been practicing law in Oklahoma with 30 years of successful trial practice. She attended Oklahoma City University, receiving her B.A. in 1986 and her Juris Doctor in 1989 from Oklahoma City University, School of Law.
Laura Beth finds the fight for injured and disabled Oklahomans incredibly rewarding.
